DAY 1: BUCHAREST – CURTEA DE ARGES – SIBIU , 282 KM (L,D)
Start the tour with the panoramic sightseeing of Bucharest – the capital of Romania , a city which was called Little Paris of the Balkans between the two Wolrd Wars. During the city tour, you will stop at the Arch of Triumph, the Revolution Square and the impressive House of People. After the city tour, drive towards Transilvania. Before crossing the Southern Carpathians , stop in Curtea de Arges for lunch and to visit the first Summer capital of Valahia. Drive to Sibiu , one of the most beautifull German Fortress Towns in Transilvania which was for centuries the residence of the Transilvanian governors. Dinner and overnight at a 3*/4* hotel in Sibiu .

DAY 2: SIBIU – ALBA IULIA – CLUJ NAPOCA, 170 KM (B,L,D)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, tour the old city of Sibiu . You will visit the famous Bruckenthal Art Museum – the first art museum in Romania , the Evangelic Cathedral and the Liars Bridge , the first iron bridge in Transilvania. Then drive to Alba Iulia to visit the Catholic Cathedral – the place where Iancu of Hunedoara, the father of Mathias Corvinus (most famous Hungarian King) is buried. After lunch – drive to Cluj Napoca – one of the most important Romanian cultural and university centers. Dinner and overnight at at 3* hotel in Cluj Napoca.

DAY 3: CLUJ-NAPOCA – MARAMURES, 230 KM (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, after a city tour in Cluj Napoca, you will visit the Maramures area – the most traditional area in Romania , the place that even the Romans couldn’t conquer, the place where the free Dacians were preserved as a civilization. Visit the Wooden church in Surdesti – World Cultural Heritage. It is considered the highest wooden building in the world, with it’s steeple reaching to a height of 74 meters. Home hosted dinner and overnight in a genuine Maramures home.

DAY 4: MARAMURES, 180 KM (B, L, D)
Breakfast. Tour the Maramures area – you will visit some fine examples of World Cultural Heritage – the wooden churches in Budesti, Calinesti, Rozavlea and Bogdan Voda. Then visit the world famous Merry Cemetery in Sapanta. Lunch at a local restaurant en route. Dinner and overnight in a Maramures home.

DAY 5: MARAMURES – GURA HUMORULUI, 220 KM, (B, L, D)
Breakfast. Drive over the Prislop Pass to Moldavia , an area famous because of the Monasteries with their unique outside frescoes. Dinner and overnight at a 3*/4* hotel in Gura Humorului.

DAY 6: GURA HUMORULUI – MONASTERY TOUR – GURA HUMORULUI, 200 KM (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour the most important outside painted monasteries of Bucovina today. You will visit the Arbore, Sucevita, Moldovita and Humor Monasteries. Each of them unique and at the same time similar. Lunch en route at a local restaurant and at the end of the day, the highlight of the day – the Voronet Monastery – the Pearl of Moldavia, a monastery often called Sixtine Chapel of the East, famous for its unique blue color. Dinner and overnight at a 3*/4* hotel in Gura Humorului.

DAY 7: GURA HUMORULUI – BICAZ GORGES – POIANA BRASOV , 350 km (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We leave for Brasov today – the largest Fortress Town in Transilvania. On the way, you will visit the Bicaz Gorges, one of the most spectacular Romanian Canyons. Have lunch at Lacu Rosu (the Red Lake ) with trout menu. Dinner and overnight at a 3*/4* hotel in Poiana Brasov (or Brasov ).

DAY 8: POIANA BRASOV – BRAN – SIGHISOARA – POIANA BRASOV , 330 KM (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, tour the old city of Brasov . You will see the famous Black Church (outside only) – the largest gothic style church in Eastern Europe, the St. Nicolae Church and the First Romanian School, an outpost of Romanian culture in the middle age Hungarian province of Transilvania. Then drive to Bran to visit the Dracula Castle here and have lunch. After lunch – drive north of Brasov to visit the impressive fortress in Sighisoara, a 13th century fortress town, which was declared World Cultural Heritage. Return to Poiana Brasov for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: BRASOV – SINAIA – TULCEA, 390 KM (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive south on the Prahova valley. You will visit one of the most beautiful castles in Europe – the Peles Castle in Sinaia, which was built by King Carol the I’st as his summer residence. Today will end in Tulcea – the Gateway to the Danube Delta. Dinner and overnight at a 3*/4* hotel in Tulcea.

DAY 10: TULCEA – CONSTANTA ,, 130 KM (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will take a cruise in the Danube Delta – a place which entered UNESCO’s list of World Natural Heritage because of its immense variety of animals, birds, fish and insects. New species are discovered here daily and added to the already several thousands of species known. The place is a paradise for birdwatchers, hunters and fishermen. Have lunch on board of the ship. After the cruise, drive to Constanta , the largest Romanian port at the Black Sea . Dinner and overnight at a 3*/4* hotel in Constanta .

DAY 11: CONSANTA (B, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Day free at leisure to enjoy Constanta . You can spend the day on the beach at Mamaia – the most famous Romanian Black sea resort – or you can visit the old city of Constanta and do some shopping. Today lunch is on your own. Dinner and overnight at a 3* hotel in Constanta .

DAY 12: CONSTANTA – BUCHAREST , 266 KM (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Bucharest – the capital of Romania . Our tour will end either at your hotel or, depending on your flight, at the Otopeni International Airport .
